Instructions
for Use
- Surface Preparation: Ensure the cable surface is
clean and free of contaminants.
- Application: Wrap SAT2 with a 50% overlap, adhesive
side in. Stretch gently to ensure close adhesion to the cable. The tape should
reduce in width by 1-2 mm during application. Avoid excessive tension to
maintain alignment.
- Cold Weather Use: Warm the tape to room temperature
before application for optimal performance.
- Compatibility: Can be used as primary electrical insulation for splicing cables from 600V to 69kV and for building stress cones on cables up to 36kV.
Applications
- Insulation for joints and terminations of rubber and plastic
cables.
- Repair of damaged insulation on low- to high-voltage cables.
- Primary electrical insulation for various cable splicing and
jointing applications.
